“I genuinely find the course very educating and informing. I believe any new music student should watch it regardless of their instrument of choice. It's a great starting guide for everyone.”

- Adam G., cello and piano music instructor

"Just Go Home and Practice Your Instrument!"

But what does “sit down and practice” really mean? It’s the most important step toward mastery of your instrument, but it’s not as easy as it seem.
  • Do you stutter through your music, and end the practice session frustrated?
  • Do you just not want to sit down and practice?
  • Do you procrastinate, and end up cramming before a chair test or performance?
  • Can you play your music fine at home but when it comes time to play the music for your teacher or a chair test, you make mistakes, no matter how hard you try
  • Do you feel like you just don't have innate musical talent it takes to learn and master an instrument?
These frustrations are common, especially for new musicians.

The secret ingredient you're missing is the right structure!
The Secret Way to Practice Music

The good news: There is a specific way to sit down and practice, with exact steps to take from the start of your practice session until the end.

In this short video series, I'll show you my systematic approach to breaking down the music and putting it back together. With this tool, you can practice your music so you will play it PERFECTLY EVERY SINGLE TIME you want.

We’ll review the five steps to follow in EVERY practice session to avoid wasting your time, and we’ll help you get results faster with my extra keys to avoiding sneaky bad habits, (like skipping the hard parts and hoping no one will notice!)

“After watching your video, I took 2-4 measure segments that were difficult for me and played them repeatedly.  Then I added them back into the context.  I was amazed at how much better the concerto sounded in much less time than it usually took!”

- Mary A., violin and fiddle instructor

Play SLOW to play FAST! - The Paced Repetition™️ Technique

By using a technique called Paced Repetition™️ and by following a specifically-designed system of music exercises, you'll train your brain and your muscles what it feels like to play your music perfectly every single time you want to - no matter how hard the music.

The key: learn to never make mistakes. It sounds simple, but has anyone ever taught you how to never make mistakes? After this course, you'll be an expert in this technique!
My background is in orchestral string instruments, but you don’t need to be a cellist or on a professional music track!

This system works for all instruments, all ages from about 8 and up, and all music.
THIS is the system that professional musicians use to learn their music. With this course, you can learn this system and start mastering your music!

Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Chris. I've been playing cello since I was 6 years old, intensely focused on becoming a professional performance cellist. I played with my first symphony at age 13 and received a full college scholarship.

While I changed my focus to computer science and engineering, the lessons I learned training to be a performance cellist have helped me in pursuit of every one of my goals since - because I can approach engineering like a musician, and music like an engineer who knows how to:
  • Break apart complex concepts to make them simpler and digestible
  • Isolate each part of the whole and learn what's required for mastery
  • Put the pieces back together again
These are the same skills I teach in Practice Music Right, step-by-step, so that your child can benefit from what I learned while training intensely to be a performance cellist.

I owe a great deal of my success to Donald Lummus, my music teacher for many years. I will always be grateful to the years we spent working together, and my mission is to provide accessible music mastery to every child learning an instrument.
